Although SBNOLA serves 6th, 7th and 8th grade students, only current 5th graders enrolled in New Orleans area public / charter schools are eligible to apply. The application packet has multiple components: a student section, parent/guardian section and teacher recommendation section. Families must also submit transcripts and 4th grade LEAP scores. All portions of the packet must be at the Summerbridge office by the deadline of Wednesday, February 28, 2007.

In the past, SBNOLA has received up to 200 student applications for 40 spaces. All completed applications are reviewed by a selection committee that consists of program administrators, volunteer teachers and friends of Summerbridge.

For full consideration, candidates should submit their applications by the Wednesday, February 28th deadline by no later than 5:00pm. Candidates must mail or drop off applications to: Summerbridge, 1903 Jefferson Ave, New Orleans, LA 70115.

All applicants will be notified by mailed in early April.
